About
Taylor Gray is a multimedia two-dimensional artist from Valdosta, Georgia who graduated from Valdosta State University (VSU) with her B.A. in Fine Arts as well as her B.F.A in Art Education. Her inspiration to make art stems from living with her grandmother and experiencing maternal guardianship through the many female role models in her life. Gray focuses on capturing various aspects of her feminine identity through her use of subject matter, color, and line. Gray has featured work related to this motif in VSU’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion Exhibit and in VSU’s various Foundations Exhibits. She has also participated in the Turner Center’s scholarship auction, the Draw Project and annual Sprint into Art exhibition. Gray is currently teaching high school art in Valdosta while working on several bodies of work.
